Purpose
padvitals is a free tool that lets you check the condition of a game controller's sticks from the browser. The analysis runs on the user's own machine; the site does not provide repair services and does not sell products.
Terms of use
Access is free and open. By using the site you agree to do so lawfully and not to take any action that could damage the service or prevent others from using it.
Nature of the results
Measurements are indicative. They are obtained through the browser's APIs and therefore reflect the combination of the controller, its system driver and the browser itself, not a laboratory measurement of the isolated device. The thresholds applied are published and explained.
The results do not constitute an expert appraisal or a guarantee about the condition of the hardware, and the owner is not liable for purchase, repair or claim decisions made on the basis of them.
Calibration features
Where the site offers features that write calibration data to a compatible controller, their use is the user's sole responsibility. Writing to a device's memory is an operation that may permanently alter its behaviour. Read the warnings shown alongside those features before using them.
Intellectual property
The original code and text of this site belong to its owner. The DualSense and DualShock 4 controller artwork comes from the dualshock-tools project and is used under the MIT licence, whose copyright notice is preserved in the TERCEROS.md file.
PlayStation, DualSense, DualShock and Xbox are trademarks of their respective owners. This site is not associated with or sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment or Microsoft, and references to those trademarks are made purely descriptively, to identify what the tool is compatible with.
