The essentials, in one sentence
Your controller measurements never leave your browser. padvitals reads the controller through the browser's own APIs and performs the whole analysis on your computer. Neither the readings, nor the results, nor your controller model are sent to any server.

What data is processed
Controller data: none
The tool uses the Gamepad API and, optionally, WebHID. Both work locally. Stick positions, buttons, touchpad and the controller's internal information are processed in your browser's memory and discarded when you close the tab. Nothing is transmitted or copied to a server.
Storage in your own browser
Two things are stored, and both stay on your machine:
- Your chosen language, in
localStorage, so you are not asked again. - The session results, in
sessionStorage, so the report can be shown to you. They delete themselves when you close the tab.
These are not cookies and are not transmitted. You can clear them from your browser settings.
Server logs
The hosting provider generates technical logs containing the IP address, date, requested page and browser. They exist to keep the service running and to detect security incidents. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are kept for the hosting provider's standard period and are not used for profiling.
Advertising
This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. In that case, Google and its partners may use cookies or identifiers to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Before any personalised advertising is enabled you will be asked for consent, and you will be able to refuse it or change your mind at any time.

Analytics
No Google Analytics and no tool that tracks visitors across sites is used.
Recipients
No data is shared with third parties, except the hosting provider, acting as a processor, and Google in the advertising scenario described above.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to the contact address. If you believe the processing does not comply with the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, or with your own national supervisory authority.
Children
The site is not aimed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date in the header will be updated. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
